About being Grateful Despite The Limitation

A time well spent with husband

Oh hi husband!

Missing eating this mercimek corbasi when it's winter in Istanbul

Oh hi blog! Only wrote 2 post along 2020! Oh what a bad writer I am! And now, me being me, just trying to make up for my laziness by being productive in the first day of new year.

On January 2020, I remember still being occupied with my life as an endodontic resident at University of Indonesia. I was still struggling to juggle my time being a wife, a dentist and also a student. Then suddenly came the pandemic, everything had to change. From our lifestyle, the way we socialise, the way I work as a dentist, and the way I study. Again, just when I begin to getting used to all of my routine, I had to adjust it a little bit to the current situation.

To be able to adapt to whatever condition and situation I faced is probably not the hardest thing to do. But, I desperately missing and longing for how easy inspiration and thoughts came into my mind when I was surrounded by open spaces; paddyfield, beaches, mountains, and the beautiful sceneries of the last place I lived, my second home, Lombok.

Surrounded by tall buildings that sometimes felt suffocating turns out being the main reason it is so hard for me to be grateful. Because I felt it hard to get a clear mind and inspiration in a place where people rushed and anxious just to get a living, this metropolitan city I am now living in.

Turns out, being grateful despite the limitation is not that easy. I felt like I always am grateful in each and everyday when I lived in Lombok. I felt like everyday I get inspired. I felt like everyday thoughts were flooding my mind.

But, it is now time to try to be forever grateful, despite the limitation. A few days ago I spent some quality time with my husband, eating Turkish cuisine at Turkuaz Jakarta. We actually have a plan to spend some time at Istanbul, but, here come the pandemic. So, this is enough for the moment I guess. Really miss eating mercimek corbasi in the middle of Istanbul during snow!

Well, now I can spend more quality time with my loved one. Shouldn't it already one thing to be grateful for? Hello 2021, I guess I'm ready!
